ODU DOCKING MATE® is a modular system of tolerance compensation contact systems that can be used specifically and precisely for the respective applications. The choice of system is determined by the offset to be compensated for between the two connections to be connected, the required performance and the installation space conditions.
 
Fixed connection ends are available in various areas in and on the vehicle. Production-related tolerances or thermal expansion should not be neglected. Connections between the so-called hairpin stator, as used in modern drives, and the inverter can now be simply pluggable. The range of solutions is also ideal for modular battery packs and the power electronics mounted on them.

Multi-position interfaces are required at various points on the drivetrain. In some cases, wired connectors can be used – however, when connecting modules directly, a docking system is the better choice. In particular, connections that include rigid busbars require a contact system that can precisely compensate for tolerances and thus allow automated assembly.
