Only professionally executed screw connections have a high level of performance. With ODU LAMTAC® Float, there is now a solution that is in no way inferior to the screw connection in terms of power transmission, but is also easy to plug in.
There are two possibilities to use ODU LAMTAC® Float contacts. One is by pressing it into a hole on the busbar, the other is to directly mount it onto the busbar. The contacts can be modified according to customer needs.
ODU LAMTAC® Float can compensate for up to +- 3 mm positional deviation, making it the ideal solution for high current docking applications.

ODU LAMTAC® Float combines the proven flexibility of ODU LAMTAC® Flex contact technology with intelligent tolerance compensation. A high number of contact points ensures consistently low contact resistance over the entire product lifetime, while optimized contact geometry and premium surface coatings provide exceptional vibration resistance.
Designed for maximum versatility, the contact system can be tailored to a wide range of automotive applications. Building on a proven standard platform, ODU LAMTAC® Float is customized to perfectly match individual customer requirements – delivering outstanding performance, seamless integration, and an optimized overall solution.
The ODU LAMTAC® Float contact system finally makes connections with major misalignments pluggable. Using our example application, we demonstrate the practical possibilities offered by this contact system.
Multi-position interfaces are required at various points on the drivetrain. In some cases, wired connectors can be used – however, when connecting modules directly, a docking system is the better choice. In particular, connections that include rigid busbars require a contact system that can precisely compensate for tolerances and thus allow automated assembly.
Perfect connections are our challenge. Find out how we master it.
