ODU LAMTAC® Flex is a contact system based on our highly flexible lamella technology, which is an evolution of the underlying ODU LAMTAC® technology. In addition to a wide range of design options, the system’s contact shape provides an early contact point and allows for a wider range of mating angles. Its compact size makes this contact system the ideal tolerance‐compensation connector solution, especially for challenging space requirements. 

The individual louvres on the lamella, which is mounted in the contact body, and the corresponding contact pin ensure a large number of contact points and a high degree of safety. This contact system is especially robust thanks to a special support geometry that prevents unwanted plastic deformation. The contact system can be adapted for both round and flat contacts.

Tolerance compensation

The special design of the ODU LAMTAC® Flex allows the contact pin to be positioned at an angle. This can be particularly useful when compensating for assembly tolerances or temperature‐induced linear expansion.

Compact

The exceptionally low installation height of the ODU LAMTAC® Flex – as well as the optimal position of the contact point – open up new possibilities in terms of space‐saving designs. This makes much smaller installation spaces possible.

Scalability

The ODU LAMTAC® Flex contact system is easily scalable and can thus be adapted to the required current carrying capacity. It can be implemented in a wide range of dimensions, from a contact diameter of 5 mm up to 18 mm.

Flat contacts

In addition to the classic round contact design, ODU LAMTAC® Flex contact technology can also be used for flat contacts. Both a blade contact and a busbar can serve as the counterpart.

Connection technology

The underlying connection technology is an essential component of a properly functioning contact system. ODU offers expertise for all major connection technologies and provides support throughout series production, from product selection to implementation.

ODU LAMTAC® Flex – applications
